AEW star Kyle O’Reilly has been off television for a while. He was taken off TV amid a feud with Jon Moxley. He last appeared on the AEW Christmas Collision show in December, revealing he was dealing with a bulging disc in his neck and an arm fracture in a promo segment with Roderick Strong. Bryan Alvarez provided an update on O’Reilly during today’s Wrestling Observer Live.

According to Alvarez, O’Reilly is indeed sidelined with a neck injury at the moment. Alvarez noted that O’Reilly’s current injury is “not the same injury that he had before,” and said that he thinks “it’s something else.”

Alvarez added, “I don’t know the severity. I don’t know if it’s career-threatening. I don’t know if he’s going to be back soon. I don’t know anything. I just know the reasoning he’s been gone is that he did have another legitimate neck injury.”

Kyle O’Reilly last wrestled at AEW Full Gear 2025 last November, beating Jon Moxley in a No Holds Barred Match. Due to his injuries, he was forced to withdraw from competing in the 2025 Continental Classic tournament.
