Latest Details On Plans For Upcoming AAA PLE

A new report has an update on plans for an upcoming Premium Live Event for AAA Lucha Libre. Wrestlevotes Radio on Fightful Select reports that plans are in place for the Lucha Libre World Cup to take place on Saturday, May 30th at Arena Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico.
The Lucha Libre World Cup has taken place a number of times in AAA since 2015, most recently in 2023. The event has featured teams representing different areas of thw world competing and showcased talent from several international promotions as well as AAA.
The report also notes that the previously-reported plans for a US taping of AAA On FOX appear to be “in flux.” The site notes that a source in AAA pushed back on the notion. It should be noted that WWE is advertising a show on that date from Gimnasio Olimpico in Mexico City.
According to the report, both Fightful and WrestleVotes have confirmed that the US taping was internally listed at one piont. WrestleVotes notes that it weas planned for the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California.
AAA’s next big event is Rey de Reyes, which takes place this weekend and will air in three parts via AAA On FOX, which airs on FOX in Latin America and YouTube in the US.
