Liv Morgan says she was a huge fan of Lita growing up and used to wrestle with the neighborhood kids in her backyard. The Judgment Day member spoke with 8 News Now for a new interview promoting WrestleMania 42, where she will challenge Stephanie Vaquer for the Women’s World Title.
Morgan recalled that she loved watching Lita as a kid and saw a lot that she related to in the now-WWE Hall of Famer. You can see the highlights below:
On Her Favorite Wrestler Growing Up:
“I grew up watching wrestling since I was five years old. And I loved Lita; I grew up with four older brothers, so I was very much a tomboy. I would roughhouse with my brothers, wear baggy pants and sneakers. And Lita was a WWE superstar who would wrestle the boys, wear baggy pants, wear sneakers. So I saw her and I just very much related to her.”
On Wrestling In Her Backyard As a Kid:
“We had like, lawn chair cushions for the ringpost, and string for the ropes. We lined up the floor with pillows, and it was the hotspot every day after school. Everyone would come right over and we would wrestle. Do not try it at home kids! [laughs] Not safe, be better than us.”
