Mark Briscoe had a memorable night in New Jersey this past Saturday at AEW Full Gear, as he overcame a stiff challenge posed by Kyle Fletcher in a bloody No Disqualification Match to capture the TNT Championship.

The stakes were incredibly high for Briscoe at Full Gear, as he would have been forced to join The Don Callis Family in the wake of a defeat. Despite the odds stacked against him, Briscoe managed to get the job done, as he put Fletcher through a table covered in barbed wire via Razor’s Edge and then nailed Jay Driller for the win.

In recently released backstage footage by AEW’s X handle, Mark Briscoe dedicated his victory to his deceased brother, Jay, his Conglomeration stable, his real-life family, and Sussex County.

“Man, there are no words, man. Times in life when you don’t mean, there are just no words, you know. I lost the most important thing to me. Talk about family, man. I lost my brother. I lost the other half of myself, man, and it’s been a long road since then. I didn’t know if I wanted to carry on. I didn’t know if I wanted to do this anymore without him, and I knew I had to make him proud. I had to do it for us, and it was failure after failure, after defeat, after loss, after loss, after disappointment, after disappointment, man.

“But you know they say, ‘There’s a time and a season for everything,’ and when family’s on the line, my crew, my boys, my family, The Conglomeration. Man, that changes everything, man. I got my road family, and I got my home family, and this is for both of them. This is for both of them. For my nephew, my nieces, my mom, my dad, my wife, my kids, my sister, and my in-laws. This is for Delaware, baby. This is for Sussex County. This is for The Conglomeration. This is for you, dawg! We did it, baby!”
