Matt Hardy took to social media to congratulate Adam Copeland and Christian Cage on becoming the AEW World Tag Team Champions at last night’s Double or Nothing pay-per-view. In doing so, the TNA star teased one final showdown between The Hardy Boyz and the AEW duo.

Cope and Cage had put their future as a tag team on the line in an I Quit match against FTR at DoN. The legendary wrestlers not only saved their alliance’s future but also captured tag team gold, with Cope and his wife, Beth, also seeking revenge for what FTR did to them at All Out 2025.

On X, Matt Hardy congratulated the newly crowned AEW World Tag Team Champions. Hardy added that he believes the iconic tag teams can still produce one more night of magic, but he isn’t sure when.

“Congrats to @Christian4Peeps & @RatedRCope on becoming @AEW Tag Team Champs. Great stuff! Not sure where, not sure when.. But we’ve got ONE more night of magic left in us,” Matt wrote.

The Hardy Boyz; Edge & Christian, along with The Dudley Boyz, redefined the art of modern-day tag team wrestling in the early 2000s with their iconic TLC matches. Matt and Jeff were a part of AEW during the early 2020s, but they are currently signed to TNA Wrestling. TNA is currently in a working relationship with WWE and recently blocked its talent from working with AEW stars on the independent circuit. Hence, the prospect of one final showdown between the legendary duos looks unlikely, at least for a foreseeable future.
