Hardcore legend Mick Foley has broken his silence after his AEW debut at last night’s Double or Nothing pay-per-view.
On Instagram, the former WWF Champion wrote that he is “genuinely” happy to be a part of All Elite Wrestling and contribute “in a small way.”
He wrote:
“ALL ELITE. I am so genuinely happy to be part of @AEW and to have contributed in a small way to such an amazing night of wrestling.”
Check out Mick Foley’s post below:
Foley co-hosted the “Buy In” portion of Double or Nothing alongside Renee Paquette. The veteran wrestler came out to a huge ovation from the Louis Armstrong Stadium and shared his thoughts on finally turning All Elite.
Foley also shared his thoughts on the Title vs. Hair Match between Darby Allin and MJF, predicting that Allin would retain the title. This led MJF to intervene, leading to a back-and-forth on the microphone. After Foley got the best of the exchange, Friedman low-blowed Mick and tried to knock him out with the Dynamite Diamond ring. However, before he could do that, Allin came to the veteran’s rescue.
Foley got on the microphone and revealed how Jon Moxley introduced him to Darby Allin. He gave a pep talk to the face-painted wrestler to close out the segment.
Allin would eventually lose to MJF in the main event.
