In light of the recent trash talk between reigning AEW World Champion Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF) and former TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth, it looks like the two veteran wrestlers will now be facing off in the ring at Create A Pro Wrestling’s CAP Monumental Moment scheduled for May 1. CAP’s Brian Myers announced the news today via social media.
Myers wrote, “I’ve talked to both parties involved, and they’ve mutually agreed to settle this. Not many dream matches left out there in professional wrestling. But, this is certainly one of them…@CreateAPro Wrestling is proud to officially announce: May 1st, Melville, New York @The_MJF vs @NicTNemeth. Tickets on sale NOW.”
Myers’ announcement did not indicate that MJF’s AEW World Title will be on the line for the matchup. However, MJF has defended his AEW World Title outside of AEW before, but it’s not clear that will be the case for his singles bout with Nic Nemeth on May 1. The bout takes place in MJF’s home state of New York.
