Nick Hogan is taking legal action to stop Bubba The Love Sponge from releasing his documentary on Hulk Hogan. TMZ reports that Nick Hogan has filed a lawsuit in federal court against Bubba, real name Todd Alan Clem, seeking to block the release of Video Killed The Radio Star: The Untold Story Of The Hulk Hogan Sex Tape Scandal.
According to the site, the lawsuit alleges that the documentary infringes on copyrights and trademarks owned by the late Hulk. Nick filed the lawsuit on behalf of Hulk’s estate and argues that the documentary includes unauthorized images from Hulk Hogan and Heather Clem’s sex tape, video of which was allegedly featured in a trailer for the doc.
Nick also argues that Bubba is using Hulk Hogan’s trademarks without permission to promote the documentary. He claims that the release of the doc would violate a settlement Bubba and Hulk reached in 2012 over the sex tape, though the details of the settlement are redacted in the suit. Hulk Hogan famously sued Bubba and Heather Clem in 2012 for invasion of privacy, with the lawsuit being settled.
Nick is seeking to have the doc’s release stopped and for unspecified damages.
