Nick Khan Comments on WrestleMania 42 Ticket Prices & Internal Expectations on Gate Money

WWE President Nick Khan recently commented on the much-talked-about ticket prices for WrestleMania 42 and the company’s expectations regarding the gate money this year.
Ticket sales for this year’s Show of Shows have been a major talking point this year, with the main reasons being attributed to expensive tickets and the fact that ‘Mania is being held at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas for the second year running. The company has announced several discount offers in recent weeks to boost ticket sales.
Khan recently attended the SBJ CAA World Congress of Sports event in Los Angeles, California, during which he addressed WrestleMania 42 ticket sales. Despite the less-than-expected response, Khan is confident that the company will come close to, if not break, last year’s record gate.
“We’re feeling good. Last year, we set records, which we set the year prior to that. So this year we think it’s going to get close to that record, but fingers crossed,” Khan said.
As noted above, expensive tickets have been a major reason behind the underwhelming response to The Showcase of The Immortals this year. However, Nick Khan believes that the marketplace dictates ticket prices, claiming that even lower-priced tickets would have been resold at a higher price, underlining the consumer demand.

As of this writing, WWE has sold 42,715 and 43,384 tickets for WrestleMania 42 Night One and Night Two, respectively. A recent report cited a source within the company as claiming that demand for tickets has surged in recent weeks. You can check that report HERE.
