Ticket sales have been a major talking point this WrestleMania season, with lower-than-expected sales also becoming a discourse on weekly programming.
However, Sports Business Journal published an article this week in which a source close to WWE claimed that ticket sales have surged in recent weeks and that WrestleMania 42 remains in line to generate one of the top gates in history.
“A source close to WWE said ticket sales have surged in recent weeks and projected that the event remains headed toward one of the top gates in WWE history.”
Last Friday night on SmackDown, Pat McAfee announced that there would be a 25 percent discount on tickets for WrestleMania 42 Night One until this Monday’s episode of RAW. The move worked, as WresteTix reported yesterday that 2,105 tickets have been sold in the past four days, as opposed to 625 tickets for Night Two.
As it stands currently, the company has sold 42,715 tickets for Night One and 43,394 for Night Two.
