Jeff Jarrett Says Hulk Hogan Put TNA Wrestling Into a Financial Death Spiral in Less Than 12 Months After His Arrival

During the latest episode of Dark Side of the Ring Season 7, “Jeff Jarrett and the Battle for TNA – Part III,” TNA co-founder Jeff Jarrett was highly critical of former TNA Wrestling President Dixie Carter, in bringing on Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff to run the company in early 2010. During the episode, Jarrett claims Hogan put TNA in a “death spiral” less than 12 months.
After joining TNA, Hogan was presented as the savior of the company. However, his tenure saw TNA jettison the six-sided ring and also move Impact head-to-head with Monday Night Raw, which proved disastrous for the company.
Speaking Hulk Hogan joining the company Jarrett stated (via Fightful), “From the day Hulk came in, it was less than 12 months that we went from profitability to financial death spiral.”
As previously noted, Jarrett in Part III also criticized Carter’s role in Hulk Hogan’s final TNA appearance, where he quits the company and walks out of the building with Carter latching onto his leg and begging him to stay, which took place in October 2013. Hogan then returned to WWE a short time later in February 2014.
