Nikki Bella Sets Target Date for Return from Ankle Surgery

Nikki Bella’s ankle injury prevented her from teaming with her sister Brie to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 42. Nikki was replaced in the match by Paige, who was returning to WWE for the first time in several years and got a great reaction from the Las Vegas crowd. Recently, Nikki stated that she expects to be able to return to action in 6-8 weeks.

Nikki Bella provided an update on her status on the most recent episode of The Nikki & Brie Show, and gave us a further idea of when she expects to be able to return.

“Hopefully I will get to see you all in June. They just announced Night of Champions is going to be happening in June, so fingers crossed that still goes. But obviously, I’d love to see you all there.”

Night of Champions is scheduled to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on June 27. Of course this all remains to be seen given everything going on in the world, but if all goes right Nikki Bella can get some of that sweet Saudi money.
