New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) has unveiled the 16-team field for the 2025 World Tag League Tournament.

The A Block consists of three-time winners Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI, Taichi & Satoshi Kojima, Toru Yano & Boltin Oleg, El Desperado & Shuji Ishikawa, Yota Tsuji & Gabe Kidd, Shingo Takagi & Drilla Moloney, EVIL & Don Fale, and Yujiro Takahashi & Chase Owens.

Meanwhile, the B Block is stacked with duos like Hiroshi Tanahashi & El Phantasmo, David Finlay & Hiromu Takahashi, the Knockout Brothers (Yuto-Ics & OSKAR), Zack Sabre Jr. & Ryohei Oiwa, the United Empire (Great-O-Khan & Callum Newman), House of Torture (Ren Narita & SANADA), Monster Sauce (Lance Archer & Alex Zayne), and Shota Umino & Yuya Uemura.

Here’s the official statement from NJPW:

“From November 20 to December 15, World Tag League will see 16 heavyweight tag teams compete for the prestigious WTL trophies and for a future chance at IWGP Tag Team gold. After Hiromu Takahashi and Tetsuya Naito shocked with their victory in 2024, who will claim tag supremacy in 2025? With seven league nights for each block leading to semifinals and then the grand final in Kumamoto.”

The 16-team tournament will kick off on November 20 and will culminate on December 15. The tournament will consist of seven league nights for each block, followed by two semifinals and the summit clash in Kumamoto. The winning team will not only grab the coveted World Tag League trophy, but it will also earn a future shot at the IWGP World Tag Team Championship.
