NJPW Wrestling Dontaku Night One Results 5.3.26: Andrade El Idolo Wins IWGP Global Heavyweight Title, More

The first night of NJPW Wrestling Dontaku took place on Sunday morning, with Andrade El Idolo winning IWGP gold and much more. The first night of the two-night event took place this morning at the Fukuoka Convention Center in Fukuoka, Japan and also featured Will Ospreay in action.

The show saw Andrade El Idolo defeat Yota Tsuji to capture the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship. This marks Ídolo’s first reign with the championship and ends Tsuji’s second reign at 202 days. Tsuji defeated Gabe Kidd to recapture the title at King of Pro-Wrestling in October.
