NWA Reportedly Joining Black Bear Digital Networks

The NWA is reportedly coming on as a client for the soon-to-come Black Bear Digital Networks. Variety reports that Dan Cohen, who previously worked for Paramount (pre-Skydance) and Disney, has been brought on by Black Bear as their Head of Television Distribution. The company will be launching Black Bear Digital Networks, which is intended to “help large independent content owners monetize their shows à la syndication across a range of channels.”
Black Bear is an independent studio that produces content across film and televison. Recent theatrical releases include Sydney Sweeney’s 2025 boxing biopic Christie, the Jason Statham-led Shelter, and the upcoming Wicker with Olivia Colman and Alexander Skarsgård.
Variety notes that the NWA, Tubi, and Sinclair Networks among BBDN’s first clients.
The NWA currently airs episodes of NWA Powerrr on Tubi as well as Comet TV. The deal with Tubi began in June.
