Official WWE Smackdown Preview
With Cyber Sunday fast approaching, the voting is wide open to all of you via WWE.com. And as Friday Night SmackDown rolls to Kansas City this week, it’s clearer than ever that the matches and opponents you’ll decide for WWE’s interactive pay-per-view is definitely affecting the interactivity among its Superstars.
Returning from SmackDown’s tour of the United Kingdom, the World Heavyweight Champion, Batista, is not in a good mood. During an in-ring interview with JBL, the SmackDown commentator – and potential guest official for Cyber Sunday’s World Heavyweight Title Match (Vote) – accused Batista of being afraid of his upcoming pay-per-view opponent, The Undertaker. The Animal nearly speared him out of his boots, but was it because JBL was right? Is Batista intimidated by The Phenom who took his title once before, at WrestleMania 23? Does he plan to do anything about it before Cyber Sunday?
Rey Mysterio and U.S. Champion MVP squared off for the first time ever on SmackDown last Friday, but the result was truly mixed, thanks to Mysterio’s Cyber Sunday opponent, Finlay. The Irishman sought payback for MVP’s interference during his match with co-WWE Tag Team Champion Matt Hardy earlier that evening. Hardy and MVP are set to face each other in a Cyber Sunday contest that you decide, while Mysterio and Finlay battle under the match stipulation of your choice, but Acting General Manager Vickie Guerrero had a blockbuster announcement for all four Superstars regarding next Friday’s SmackDown. Find out what she had to say in an exclusive video courtesy WWE Mobile on AT&T.
Meanwhile, after the way ECW’s Big Daddy V brutally ambushed Kane on SmackDown last week, it’s apparent that the two brands’ new working agreement is in full effect. Kane and V are set to go toe-to-toe in the Land of the Extreme Tuesday night on Sci Fi (10/9 CT), but can we expect more Superstars to bounce between brands in the coming weeks – even in Kansas City for Friday Night SmackDown?
For the answers to these questions and more, tune into Friday Night SmackDown at 8/7 CT, only on The CW Network.
