Puerto Rico News: Chicano back in IWA, Blitz turns down WWC and More
– Blitz, one of the men rumored to jump to WWC as part of the Invasion angle decided to remain in IWA. Since he won the Jose Miguel Perez Cup and is the #1 contender at the World Title, IWA offered him a main event run, which was enough to get him to stay.
– In more bad news for WWC, Chicano is back with IWA. We dont know exactly what happened, but he was spotted in the IWA office during the week and during the TV show today they played a voice clip of him promising an invasion that will change IWA forever. It seems he is back with IWA and they will run a similar invasion storyline to the one WWC is running.
– The status of Jeff Jeffry in all of this is unknown. He was spotted in the IWA office too, but apparently they could not agree to terms and he decided to remain in WWC. Mr. Big also remains in WWC. WWC plans to continue the invasion angle by bringing in former IWA talent that is not working for them anymore, but it seems no more current IWA wrestlers are expected to jump.
– IWA will hold it’s first series of shows in almost one month next week when they present IWA Armaggedon 2007. The card is yet to be finalized but seems to be headlined by Bison Smith defending the World Title against Glammour Boy Shane and Vampiro in a 3 Way Dance. Also they will crown a new Intercontinental Champion and confirmed names include Big Vito, Ricky Vega(Machete in TNA) and a mystery wrestler.
