R-Truth Says He Nearly Missed Making His Return At WWE Money in the Bank

R-Truth was trying so hard to keep his return secret at WWE Money in the Bank 2025 that he nearly missed his spot. Truth’s shocking near-exit and return at Money in the Bank was chronicled on episode two of WWE: Unreal season two. The fan outrage over Truth’s release helped result in his signing a new deal with the company and returning at the PLE.

Truth spoke with Adrian Hernandez for a new interview promoting WWE: Unreal. He spoke about keeping his return a secret and how it almost resulted in his missing his spot. You can see the highlights below:

On Keeping His Return Secret At Money in the Bank:

“Kayfabe to the highest. Like, I’m coming back, it was — you got to understand. I’m inside this dream, living this dream. I’m coming back to what I love to do, you know what I’m saying? So, it was lead clothes. I think somebody posted, ‘I think I saw R-Truth in the airport.’ So it’s just me trying to maneuver my way… I flew into Burbank. Every time I fly into LAX, dog, I get spotted. Whether it’s TMZ or anybody else, I get spotted a lot in LAX. So it’s like, they flew me into Burbank.”

On the Experience Of Returning:

“It’s still surreal though, Adrian. Again, [overwhelming amount] of love. The adrenaline, the suspense, the anxiety, the tension, everything was just like building up to that moment, man. And the secrecy of it just added to it. All the way down to waiting — I remember, I’m with CAA man. The a hotel I’m at, they clear the hotel. And I can see the building, I’m just like feeling all these emotions. I’m — we’re in the thick of it now, you know what I’m saying? Like this is, it’s happening now and Money in the Bank is going on.

“I almost didn’t make it, because we was trying to keep it so — I was that close to not making it there because of the secrecy of it. Because of what we wanted to present… If their match was at 7:00, I think I got there at 7:05.”
