Ratings Breakdown For This Week’s AEW Dynamite

As previously reported, this past Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite was down in viewers and the key 18-49 rating after previously rising over the past several weeks. It had 939,000 viewers and a 0.34 (445,000 viewers) in 18-49. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has a more detailed look at the numbers, including what it drew for each quarter hour. The show had a 0.20 in 18-34.
It was #1 on cable, beating the second-place Texas vs. Oklahoma College Softball World Series finals on ESPN (1,411,000 viewers and 0.33). However the night also featured the NBA Finals on ABC, with the Warriors against the Celtics. That game had 11,522,000 viewers and 3.65 in 18-49 and 2.93 in 18-34. It was the second most-watched NBA game of the year and higher than the Conference finals, but down significantly from last year. Dynamite lost to ABC but beat NBC, CBS in the first hour and FOX in the second hour. That means Dynamite was #3 in 18-49 on all of television.
On cable, it was #7 in women 18-49, #1 in men 18-49, #3 in 18-34, #5 in women 12-34 and #5 in men 12-34. The show had an older audience than normal thanks to the NBA. Compared to last week, it was down 3.1% in viewers, down 13.9% in 18-49 and down 20% in 18-34.
Dynamite had 77,000 in men 18-34 (down 30.6%), 63,000 in women 18-34 (down 1.6%), 222,000 in men 35-49 (down 12.3%) and 81,000 in women 35-49 (down 1.2%). The audience as 67.2% male in 18-49. It had an 0.11 in 12-17 (down 15.4%), 0.20 in 18-34 (down 20%), 0.48 in 35-49 (down 9.6%) and 0.37 in 50+ (up 8.8%).
