Rayne Leverkusen Reportedly Gets New NXT Ring Name

WWE roster member Rayne Leverkusen has received her new NXT ring name, according to a new report. Bodyslam+ has posted a new report noting that according to sources, the WWE Performance Center recruit will now be using the ring name of Lizzy Rain in WWE going forward.

The report goes on to say it was implied that the new ring name was inspired by Rayne’s love of heavy metal. “Lizzy” has been featured in a number of famed rock band names like Thin Lizzy and Lizzy Borden. Lzzy Hale is the name of the lead singer and co-founder of the hard rock band Halestorm as well.

Leverkusen was annoounced last month as one of the new batch of WWE recruits alongside Ahmed Essam Samy Twfiq, Ellen Akesson, and Delia Schweizer. She made her first appearance on WWE TV at NXT Vengeance Day, where she was among the unidentitied talents who were ringside for the NXT Underground match between Lola Vice and Kelani Jordan. She reportedly signed with the company in February after being part of two tryouts last year.

No word as of yet on when Lizzy Rain will make her official WWE NXT debut. WWE NXT is in the midst of its two-week NXT Revenge event that continues next Tuesday on The CW and Netflix internationally.
