Rocky Romero Confirms STARDOM Involvement in AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, CMLL ‘Very Likely’

Fightful Select reports that STARDOM is ‘definitely’ going to be involved with this year’s AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, according to Rocky Romero. Romero also said that CMLL is ‘very likely’ to also take part in the event. CMLL is a frequent partner of NJPW and has recently started working with AEW as well.

Romero noted that Forbidden Door will always be a co-branded show between NJPW and AEW, but other companies could get involved. He said that the “sky is the limit” for what other promotions might get involved beyond STARDOM and CMLL. NJPW and AEW have split costs for the event in the past.

This year’s event happens on June 30 at the UBS Arena in Long Island.
