ROH News: Truth Martini Done With Company, Matt Taven to Return Soon, Note on Six-Man Tag Titles
– Truth Martini is no longer with the company. He was written of off TV earlier this year so that he could have neck surgery, with the plan being that he would return at Death Before Dishonor. But when Jay Lethal turned babyface, there was no longer a role for him. It was only when he inquired about his return that he was informed that there was no longer a role for him.
– Matt Taven will be returning to the ring this month. He will wrestle in Mexico on September 16th before returning to the ring for ROH. Taven has been doing commentary for ROH TV, and teasing that he will debut a new version of The Kingdom.
– ROH has been considering adding six-man titles since 2015, but finally pulled the trigger this week. They added the titles to create more of a purpose to six-man tag matches and to allow younger talent to have title programs with more established talent.
