Roman Reigns Wants to Headline WrestleMania 36 Against Seth Rollins, Says He’s Always Seen Himself as the Face of WWE

Roman Reigns on if he considers himself the new face of WWE: “I guess there’s two ways to look at this. I’ve always look at myself as the face of WWE whether John’s there or not. I feel like I’m far more attractive, and I have a better looking face than John [Cena]. So, I’ve always looked at myself in that regard. But I also think — and John and I think any other Superstar within WWE can tell you, I think there’s a lot of faces to WWE. I think what makes our product and our brand of entertainment so compelling is that we’re not all the same, and we’re just like how all this world and how all the different cultures and customs are. We’re a huge melting pot. We’re all from different places all across the globe, and we all come together off of one natural bond. And that’s storytelling. That’s the physicality of storytelling that’s in a ring. On that canvas is where we paint our pictures. So, I think that it’s important, not only for the people who think they’re the top of WWE, but for every performer, every contributor, every piece of talent to look at themselves as the face of WWE and also as a representative of WWE and themselves and the wrestling industry and their families as well. So, I think if everybody looks at themselves as the face of WWE, WWE can’t go wrong.”

“So yeah, I do believe I’ve always been the face of WWE. But yes, with a huge name like John Cena no longer being a full-time performer, I think there’s as much, if not more, pressure on me to do my job at a high level than ever. But I also think it’s across the locker room. I’m not the only guy who feels that way. I guarantee Seth Rollins feels the exact same way that I feel. He shows that same pressure to perform and to keep our product at a premium.”

Roman Reigns on WrestleMania 36 and who he wants to face: “I think I’d like to close the show, and I think I’d like to wrestle Seth Rollins for the Universal Championship. I think I’d like to get my rematch one year from now.”
