WWE Champion Cody Rhodes might be QB1, but he couldn’t make it 4-0 against World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins today at WWE Crown Jewel Perth. Rollins finally managed to exorcise an old demon, with his three previous singles losses against Rhodes at WWE premium live events, and picked up the pinfall victory at the event in Perth, Australia.

The win wasn’t 100% clean as a sheet. During the match, Seth Rollins attempted to use a Rolex watch as a foreign object. It was the same Rolex watch that Cody once gifted to Rollins when they headlined Night 1 of WrestleMania 40 last year in Philadelphia. Cody pulled out some high-impact moves, hitting Rollins with an Avalanche Cross Rhodes off the top rope, but Rollins miraculously was able to kick out. Rollins also attempted a high-risk Coast-to-Coast Diving Headbutt, which landed on Rhodes but did not secure a finish.

The finish came after an inadvertent ref bump by Rhodes. With the referee temporarily dazed, Rollins nailed Cody with the Rolex watch. With Cody Rhodes prone, Rollins managed to hit his old rival with an Avalanche Stomp off the second rope to score the pinfall victory. Although he did use a foreign object, Rollins was able to win the match without help from The Vision or Paul Heyman.

Earlier in the night, Heyman declared that Rollins would have to win the match on his own, and that The Vision’s Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed should not go to the ring should Rollins request their assistance. Rollins finally achieves a singles win over Cody Rhodes, and he also wins the second annual Crown Jewel Championship. Cody Rhodes previously won the first Crown Jewel Championship, beating former World Heavyweight Champion Gunther at last year’s event.

After the match and getting awarded the Crown Jewel Championship belt by WWE executive Triple H, Seth Rollins got on the microphone. He declared that after his win, he’s not only the greatest wrestler of his generation, he’s also “the greatest of all time,” despite John Cena claiming a similar title, as he pulled off his 100th career PLE win over AJ Styles earlier in the night. Regardless, it’s a huge and impressive win for Rollins’ career.

Rollins also currently holds Raw’s World Heavyweight Championship. He won the title 10 weeks ago, cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase to win the belt from CM Punk at WWE SummerSlam 2025. He’s made a case for Superstar of the Year after defeating Roman Reigns and CM Punk at WrestleMania 41. He’s a former WWE Intercontinental Champion, RAW Tag Team Champion, Universal Champion, United States Championship holder, Money in the Bank contract winner, WWE Championship holder, member of the Shield with Reigns and Dean Ambrose, has had legendary feuds with Brock Lesnar and others, is regularly featured on WWE Monday Night RAW, and much more. It’s been an eventful career for the Freakin one thus far.
