STARDOM and Bushiroad Issue Statements On Recent Details About Hana Kimura’s Death

It was reported earlier this month that the mother of Hana Kimura, Kyoko Kimura, said she asked Bushiroad for help finding the truth about her daughter’s death, but they refused. She later filed a complaint with the Japanese Broadcast Ethics & Program Improvement Organization in Japan. She placed the blame on the reality series Terrace House for pressuring Hana into acting a certain way, which led to her getting bullied online and her eventual suicide.
Bushiroad founder Takaaki Kidani has now issued a brief statement on the matter. He said: “To be honest, there are so many things I want to say about this matter. However, I put up with it now.”
STARDOM, which Kimura wrestled for, also commented.
“There are various news about the death of Hana Kimura, but we are negotiating with the bereaved family through a lawyer. Therefore, we would like to refrain from making any further comments. If we have anything to announce, we will let you know later.“
