Wrestling icon Sting filed a new trademark on a classic Tony Schiavone catchphrase related to his character. On Tuesday (March 3), Sting filed a trademark for “IT’S STIIIIIIIING!,” including eight Is in the word “Sting” and the exclamation mark. The filing was listed on the United States Patent and Trademark Office’s (USPTO) website (h/t F4WOnline.com).
AEW broadcaster Tony Schiavone is also listed as an owner of the trademark. The filing lists Michael E. Dockins as the attorney of record. The WWE Hall of Famer also recently filed a trademark for “Old Man Sting” last year. Earlier in 2022, he filed a trademark on the nickname “The Icon.”
The former WCW World Heavyweight Champion concluded his in-ring career back at AEW Revolution 2024. In the main event, he and Darby Allin successfully defended the AEW World Tag Team Titles against The Young Bucks in a Tornado Tag Team Match.
