The Undertaker Thanks John Cena & AJ Styles Following All-Time Classic at WWE Crown Jewel Perth

John Cena and AJ Styles wrestled an all-time classic at today’s WWE Crown Jewel Perth event, with Cena picking up his 100th career WWE PLE/PPV victory. You can count the retired WWE Hall of Famer, The Undertaker, as another individual praising their performance. He thanked Styles and Cena following the match on his social media.

The grateful Undertaker wrote to John Cena and AJ Styles, “Thank you @JohnCena and thank you @AJStylesOrg. A masterclass and beautiful tribute to wrestling.” He added, “The #WWEUniverse said it…but that was AWESOME!” The hashtag #MatchOfTheYear was also trending after the match, with fans heaping tons of praise on the contest.

The Undertaker has experience with John Cena and AJ Styles, having wrestled and defeated both wrestlers in separate matches at WrestleMania. At WrestleMania 34 in 2018, The Undertaker defeated Cena in a singles bout. Two years later, The Undertaker beat Styles in an epic Boneyard Match at WrestleMania 36 in what would become the final match of The Dead Man’s wrestling career.

With his match against Styles in the book, John Cena only has four more remaining dates in his WWE career, including Survivor Series: WarGames and Saturday Night’s Main Event. His last match will take place at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on Saturday, December 13 at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. Meanwhile, AJ Styles recently confirmed his plan to retire next year.

WWE has not yet announced Cena’s final opponent, but it’s rumored that the Ring General and former World Heavyweight Champion, Gunther, will face Cena at the December SNME. Gunther previously defeated WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg in his retirement match at SNME, so that’s an interesting potential matchup.

Also, ahead of Survivor Series, Cena is scheduled for WWE Raw in his hometown of Boston on November 10 and Raw at Madison Square Garden in New York City on November 17. The Undertaker’s social post to Styles and Cena is available below:
