Thekla is good with any potential opponent to defend her AEW Women’s World Title at AEW All In: London. The champ defeated Jamie Hayter to retain the title at Dynasty. It’s still a long way until All In: London in August, but she plans on holding onto the title until them.
Thekla was asked at the post-show media scrum about potential opponents for the London show as well as signing a new AEW deal less than a year into her run with the company. You can see the highlights below:
On Who She’d Like To Defend the Title Against At All In: London:
“Ooh. Well, we’ve had some people coming back, right? We’ve had the Comeback Killer taking care of those people, who knows who’s next, you know? Anybody, I don’t care, really. The Bird can try again, Jamie [Hayter] can try again, Kris [Statlander] can try again. They all get the same treatment.”
On Signing Her New AEW Deal:
“Well, it’s very obvious I’m a perfect fit for AEW. Also, the company needs me. Nobody’s ever done it like me. I’m a standout champion. So AEW is the perfect platform for me to just grow and take over the world, eventually.”
