Thekla Retains Women’s World Title In Four-Way Match At AEW Double Or Nothing

Thekla survived three challengers to leave AEW Double Or Nothing with her AEW Women’s World Championship reign intact. Thekla defeated Jamie Hayter, Kris Statlander, and Hikaru Shida at Sunday night’s PPV to retain her championship in a match that went about 14 minutes.

The finish of the match saw Statlander hit a Saturday Night Fever but Shika hit Statlander with a kendo stick. Hayter and Shida spilled to the floor while fighting and Thekla stomped a downed Statlander, pinning her to pick up the victory and retain the title. Thekla’s AEW Women’s World Championship reign is now up to 103 days. She defeated Statlander in a strap match to win the championship on the February 11th episode of AEW Dynamite.
