TNA Still Interested in Josh Bishop and J-Rod

This past Sunday, hot independent talents Josh Bishop and J-Rod were in attendance at TNA Lockdown. Both had previously been part of WWE’s SummerSlam tryouts, and naturally, speculation has been that TNA would be interested in signing them.
J-Rod, a four-year pro wrestling veteran, is now best known as Supernova on American Gladiators. Bishop has previously worked for TNA on a per-appearance basis.
In today’s Fightful Select Debunkathon, Sean Ross Sapp has confirmed that TNA is still interested in both of them. In addition, TNA is said to be looking closely at Fourth Rope, the indie promotion run by rapper Westside Gunn.
Sapp says it was because of Fourth Rope that they first gained interest in Josh Bishop. It was also where they found Joe Alonzo, who was recently signed following an in-arena exclusive match at Lockdown with Home Town Man. The stipulation was that if he won, he’d earn a TNA contract from Santino Marella, and of course he did.
Zilla Fatu, recently signed to NXT, revealed last year that one of his favorite matches was for Fourth Rope, against former WWE star Enzo Amore. Evidently its a promotion to keep an eye on, for more than just TNA talent scouts.
