Will Ospreay wants a European promotion involved with AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
In 2022, All Elite Wrestling and New Japan Pro-Wrestling joined hands to present the first-ever Forbidden Door event, featuring talent from both companies. Since then, wrestlers from CMLL and STARDOM have also taken part in the annual PPV.
During a recent conversation with NJPW, Will Ospreay expressed his desire to see RevPro Wrestling get involved in the crossover event. Notably, RevPro and AEW have worked in tandem several times over the years.
“Well, at first it was about dream matches, and I think now it’s shifted a little bit. It’s a bigger look at the different cultures of pro wrestling, be it Japanese, Mexican, or the joshi style as well, which is different from Japanese men’s wrestling. I’d love to see a European company like RevPro in there as well to really accentuate things.”
During the same interview, Ospreay called for more AEW stars to compete in New Japan Pro-Wrestling. The Aerial Assassain also named a few AEW wrestlers whom he wants to see compete in Japan. You can check out his comment HERE.
This year’s Forbidden Door event is scheduled for June 28. It will take place at the SAP Center in San Jose, California.
