Former Undisputed WWE Champion Drew McIntyre has been absent from weekly programming since WrestleMania 42.

However, that may change this Friday, as The Scottish Warrior is being advertised for the May 22 episode of WWE SmackDown. That said, features and announced wrestlers are always subject to change. Tonight’s episode will take place at the Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky. You can check out the lineup HERE.

McIntyre is also being advertised for the go-home episode of Friday Night SmackDown ahead of Clash in Italy (May 31). Interestingly, Randy Orton, who has also been absent from WWE TV since WrestleMania 42 Night One, is also being advertised for both May 22 and 29 episodes of SmackDown.

McIntyre has had a topsy-turvy year so far. The year started on a blockbuster note as he captured the Undisputed WWE Championship from Cody Rhodes in a Three Stages of Hell match on January 9.

However, his reign lasted just over 50 days, as he dropped the title back to Cody on the Road to WrestleMania 42. Drew spent the rest of the time feuding with Jacob Fatu, setting up an Unsanctioned match against The Samoan Werewolf at The Show of Shows in Las Vegas on April 18. The multi-time WWE World Champion ultimately lost the match and went on a hiatus.
