WWE Reportedly Considering Treating Cody Rhodes’ Return Like Triple H’s In 2002

WWE is reportedly considering giving Cody Rhodes a similar treatment when he returns to the one that Triple H received in 2002. As previously reported, Rhodes underwent surgery last week to fix a torn pectoral tendon and is expected to be out for nine months. A new report in the WON notes that there has been some talk of giving him a similar “huge deal” treatment that Triple H got when he returned in 2002 from a torn quad. The Game’s return was treated like a huge deal, and he ended up winning the Royal Rumble that year and went on to win the Undisputed Championship at WrestleMania X8.

The site notes that WWE filmed Rhodes’ surgery and the footage will be used in promotional packages; he also noted that most expect Rhodes to be back in less than nine months which would make a big return at the Rumble possible and a potential selling point for that event.
