WWE Reportedly Contemplated Moving the Start Time for Next Saturday Night’s Main Event

WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event returns for its next show on Saturday, January 24 in Montreal, Quebec. The event is currently slated for a normal air time of 8:00 pm ET. However, according to a report by Wrestlevotes Radio on Fightful Select, WWE had discussions about switching the start time of the Peacock broadcast due to the debut UFC event on Paramount+.

UFC’s debut on Paramount+, UFC 324: Gaethje vs. Pimblett, will also air on Saturday, January 24. WWE reportedly had discussions about an alternate start time for Saturday Night’s Main Event, which would’ve moved the show up one hour due to UFC 324 starting at 9:00 pm ET.

In the past, UFC and WWE have moved some events around based on what Fightfu’s Sean Ross Sapp was told by a TKO representative was meant to be “corporate synergy.” WWE and UFC merged under the TKO banner in September 2023.

However, despite the internal discussions, it looks like the next WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event is still moving forward as planned with its normal start time. The event takes place at the Bell Centre in Montreal. It will stream live on Peacock in the U.S. and on Netflix internationally.

As previously reported, WWE will also hold Friday Night SmackDown the night before, on January 23, at the Bell Centre in Montreal. The show will air live on USA Network.
