May 3, 2018 | Posted by
According to Pwinsider.com, WWE applied for a trademark on The Great American Bash back on April 27th. Jim Crockett Promotions used the name, created by Dusty Rhodes, to brand their big summer tours in the late 1980s. WWE brought back the name in 2004, and used it as a PPV theme until changing the name to “The Bash” in 2009, and then dropping the name completely.
