– In a sitdown interview, Carmelo Hayes denied being the person who attacked Trick Williams to keep him out of the #1 contender’s match on last week’s NXT. Hayes told Vic Joseph that the notion was “crazy” but also said that he would still have won the match if Trick had been in it. Hayes will battle Ilja Dragunov for the NXT Championship on night two of Halloween Havoc next week. Others on the roster weren’t so sure including Halloween Havoc co-hosts Shotzi and Scarlett, as well as Bron Breakker who all expressed their opinions that Hayes was behind the attack.
