It looks like WWE Raw and other WWE programming will soon have ad breaks overseas in all international markets. According to a report by BodySlam+, Netflix has begun the process of slowly rolling out ads to all markets for Monday Night Raw and WWE television programming.
Previously speaking to the Sports Business Journal, WWE Vice President and Line Producer Brian Fadem said that fans watching WWE Raw internationally would have no ad breaks during the show. However, over the course of the last few weeks, several international markets noticed that ad breaks have begun being integrated into WWE Raw.
BodySlam+ notes that WWE is slowly rolling out the ads to the international markets for WWE programming. So if the ads are not appearing yet on the shows, they likely will soon.
Netflix Is Currently the Streaming Home of WWE Raw and Other Live Shows Outside of the US
Monday Night Raw moved to live weekly streaming on Netflix earlier this year. Meanwhile, WWE’s premium live events started airing on ESPN’s new app service in September with Wrestlepalooza. However, Netflix became the streaming home of WWE internationally outside of United States. This includes Netflix streaming live weekly episodes of Raw, SmackDown, NXT, and PLEs.
Netflix internationally also carries the WWE archive of classic content. In the US, NBCUniversal and Peacock still hold the streaming archive library rights for WWE content.
