Penta to Defend Intercontinental Championship vs. Rey Mysterio on 6/8 WWE RAW

The date and venue for the much-awaited clash between WWE Intercontinental Champion Penta and Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio have been revealed.
Earlier today, Penta took to Instagram to reveal that he would defend his gold against Rey Mysterio this coming Monday night on RAW. Cero Miedo called it the most meaningful match of his career.
Here’s what Penta wrote:
“THIS MONDAY NIGHT LIVE FROM PARIS!!! 🇫🇷 To face @619iamlucha for the WWE Intercontinental Championship is what dreams are made of!!! The most meaningful match of my career happens this Monday on RAW, LIVE FROM PARIS! Rey: Un honor y un sueño poder enfrentarte por mi campeonato. Te veo en Paris con mucho respeto, y ZERO MIEDO!!!! 🔥🔥🔥”

Two weeks ago on WWE RAW, Penta approached Rey Mysterio backstage and said that it would be an honor for him to defend the IC Title against the lucha libre legend. This ultimately led to a number-one contender’s match between Rey and Rusev, which Mysterio ultimately won. The title match is now set for June 8.
The June 8 episode of Monday Night RAW will emanate from the Accor Arena in Paris, France. It will also feature two first-round Fatal Four-Way matches in the ongoing King and Queen of the Ring tournaments.
