WWE is preparing to hold its first official talent tryouts since SummerSlam weekend in 2025. The sessions are scheduled for next week in Orlando, marking a return to in-person scouting after several months without open evaluations. The update was first reported by Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline and later confirmed by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.
WWE continues shaping its next wave of talent for NXT and the main roster pipeline beyond 2026. These tryouts are designed to assess a wide range of prospects, including collegiate athletes, independent wrestlers, and international performers.
Holding the tryouts in Orlando provides a practical advantage. WWE’s Performance Center is nearby, allowing evaluators to run a controlled, efficient session. Recruits will be tested in-ring, physically, and mentally under the supervision of WWE coaches, trainers, and talent scouts. Those evaluations often extend beyond one day, especially if prospects show promise.
Historically, these tryouts have produced notable names. Talent such as Roxanne Perez and Tony D’Angelo was identified through similar scouting efforts. Their success reinforces WWE’s importance of these sessions as a foundation for future storytelling and roster depth.
While WWE has not released details on how many prospects will attend, expectations are centered on versatility. Officials typically look for athletic backgrounds, coachability, and presence rather than polished television skills. The goal is to stock NXT with adaptable talent who can develop within WWE’s system.
