WWE YouTube has added another feather in its cap, with it becoming only the 12th channel to surpass one billion lifetime views.
The channel has thus far posted 89,483 videos (per Social Blade) and has a total of 111 million subscribers. It ranks 13th in the world with regard to the number of subscribers and 12th when it comes to lifetime views.
WWE launched its YouTube channel in May 2011 and has since been posting live streams of its pre- and post-shows and highlights from its weekly programming and premium live events, while also uploading iconic matches from the past in their entirety. The channel also streams top matches in a marathon run ahead of a premium live event.
The success of WWE’s YouTube channel has led to the company launching several additional channels, including WWE Vault and WCW Vault, among others.
The most viewed video on its channel is a segment from an episode of Monday Night RAW in 2009, when Randy Orton kissed an unconscious Stephanie McMahon as Triple H, whose hand was handcuffed to a ring rope, looked on helplessly. The video titled “Randy Orton makes it personal with Triple H” has generated 327 million views so far.
