Xia Brookside Retains Knockouts World Title In TNA Lockdown Match

Xia Brookside is still your TNA Knockouts World champion, defeating Elayna Black to retain the title at TNA Lockdown. Brookside defended her championship against Black inside the steel cage at Sunday’s night’s TNA+ event, an almost 13-minute bout that saw Brookside use every advantage she could to hold onto her title reign.

Brookside wasn’t afraid to get her hands dirty, as she used the title early on to open up Black’s forehead. She focused on the wound but wasn’t able to put Black down for the count right away. Brookside even used the title to bind Black to the cage and deliver more damage with a running dropkick.

Black was able to summon some offense shortly after that and hit a belly-to-back suplex off the top. They traded forearms and Black took control, but eventually Brookside was able to throw powder in Black’s eyes and roll her up for the pinfall victory.

You can see clips from the TNA Lockdown match below. Brookside’s title reign now stands at 56 days, having won it from Lei Ying Lee at TNA Slammiversary in late June.
