Dana White Isn’t Worried About McGregor Wanting to Move to Lightweight

September 4, 2015 | Posted by Jeremy Thomas

Dana White isn’t necessarily opposed with the idea of Conor McGregor moving to lightweight. Speaking at the “Go Big” event today (via MMAjunkie), White said that he isn’t too worried about McGregor’s claims that he’ll eventually jump up.

“When guys want to move weight classes, that’s a tough weight class for Conor to make that weight,” he said. “I don’t really mess with people who want to move. The only one I’ve ever really talked about it with is Frankie Edgar, when Frankie fought at 155 (pounds). I’ll admit that, I terrorized him to move to 145. But other than that, I don’t really mess with guys when they want to move a weight class. They know their bodies; they know what’s going on, and we’ll see how that thing plays out.”

McGregor has said that he plans to finish off the remaining potential featherweight contenders once he beats Jose Aldo, then move up to lightweight.
