Dana White Says Max Holloway vs. Frankie Edgar Will Happen This Year
July 9, 2017 | Posted by
Max Holloway’s first defense of the undisputed featherweight championship will take place this year. Dana White spoke with KHON-2 and said that Holloway will likely face Frankie Edgar in his next match, which will happen sometime later this year.
“We’re looking at Frankie Edgar, but we don’t know where,” White said. “Absolutely (before the end of the year).”
Holloway won the interim featherweight title at UFC 206 in December against Anthony Pettis and then knocked out Jose Aldo at UFC 212 in June to unify the championship.
