Don’t know that it was a complete sellout, but definitely a good crowd for NXT’s first trip to Flair Country. Some were disappointed there was no Samoa Joe or Bayley, but overall it was a really good show which saw:

No Way Jose pinned Riddick Moss.

After a song/promo in the ring bashing the town and the fans, Elias Sampson pinned John Skylar.

Alex Riley pinned Blake. There was a loud “Where’s Alexa?” chant early on.

Eva Marie pinned Carmella using her feet on the rope for leverage. Carmella attacked Eva after the match to make the fans happy.

American Alpha retained the Tag Team Titles after Chad Gable pinned Scott Dawson by blocking a Magistral Cradle. Awesome match…considering the town they were in, very reminiscent of Rock-n-Roll Express vs Midnight Express…these two teams just work so well together.

Austin Aries pinned Menny Andrade. Crowd wasn’t really sure for whom to cheer early on, and seemed to get more behind Menny as the match went on, and Austin played a bit more of a “tweener” role. Austin helped Andrade up after the match and raised his hand. Very good match.

Asuka made Peyton Royce tap out to the Asuka Lock. Before the match, Eva Marie came on stage to announce she had “stolen” the Women’s Championship Belt, and Asuka could get it back if she were woman enough to put the belt on the line the next night (tonight) in Columbia. Not really the squash that you might expect. Peyton got a fair amount of offense in, but the finish was never in doubt.

Finn Balor and Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Baron Corbin and Tye Dillinger when Finn pinned Tye. Huge pop for Nakamura. Baron Corbin seemed to be a bit more loose, and not so stone faced. Perhaps the RAW call up has taken some pressure and frustration away. Lot of comedy spots with Finn and Tye, with Balor doing Ric Flair mannerisms after doing the chops in the corner, and teasing the Figure Four, and Dillinger doing the patented Flair face plant.

Interesting to note, Finn wore trunks with just the word Bulletproof across the back. He also held up a sign after the match that asked “Where are Doc and Karl?”
