UPDATED: WWE Officially Cancels Raw Taping Tonight – Smackdown to Air Live on Thursday
UPDATE: WrestleZone reports that it is unlikely that tonight’s live WWE show will contain any live matches. The three-hour show is airing from WWE headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut as previously reported and there is no ring setup in the building as it is naturally laid out. Unless WWE decides to create a makeshift ring area, there will be no way to feature live matches on the show.
Of course, previously-taped matches in a “Best Of” format is always a possibility.
ORIGINAL: The WWE announced today, via press release, that due to the weather conditions in the northeast, they have changed this week’s TV schedule. WWE has postponed tonight’s live event in Hartford and cancelled tomorrow night’s live event in Boston. Tonight at 8PM, there will be a live WWE show from the studios in the Stamford, Connecticut. Smackdown will air live at 8PM ET on Thursday night on SyFy.
Tickets for tonight’s show in Hartford will be honored for a SmackDown event this Thursday, January 29 that will air live on Syfy. Fans with tickets to tomorrow’s event in Boston will have the option of either exchanging tickets for an upcoming WWE event on Saturday, June 27 or obtaining a refund at point of purchase.
