WWC La Revolucion Results 07.31.2010
Last night WWC held “La Revolucion” (The Revolution) from Bayamon, Puerto Rico and here are the results. Thanks to Foro WWC for the results.
– Los Fugitivos (Niche & Lynx) defeat Pedro Diaz & Steve Joel.
– WWC Junior Heavyweight Title:
Tommy Diablo retains the belt after he got intentionally disqualified in his bout with Ricochet. Diablo ripped off Ricochet’s mask to provoke the DQ.
– JDS (Joe Don Smith) defeats Idol Stevens by pinfall. During the bout Idol got into it with a fan and the fan even chopped Idol. Of course, the fan was a plant. After the bout Idol says he is sick and tired of the “puercos” (pigs) Puerto Rican fans and he quits. Of course, we all know Idol signed with the WWE and he is leaving.
– Chris Joel defeats “The Man-Beast” Angel. Joel’s new arrogant heel persona works really well and he drew a lot of heat.
– Black Pain defeats Hiram Tua after the Black Hole Slam.
–WWC Tag Team Titles:
Thunder & Lightning retain the titles by DQ in their bout with “The Phenomenal” BJ and “The Illegal” Chicano when BJ nails Thunder with a set of brass knucks and the ref spots him. Great bout, very bloody and both teams used foreign objects during the match. BJ was unlucky to be spotted by the ref. Big pull-apart brawl post match.
– Jose Chaparro comes out and introduces the new signing for his organization, Chris Joel. Chaparro says that he still has one more surprise tonight.
–WWC Puerto Rican Title:
“The Sensational” Carlitos defeats Orlando Colon by count out. Colon retains the belt. The original finish had Carlitos winning by pinfall when a second referee came in to count the fall after the first one was knocked out. The original ref woke up and reversed the decision to a DQ win for Carlitos because Colon had intentionally knocked him out. Colon would have retained the title this way, but after some back and forth arguing the ref restarts the match. Colon walks out and gets counted out.
– WWC Universal Title:
Shelton Benjamin defeats Ray Gonzalez to win the WWC Universal Title after former IWA wrestler and Tag Team Champion Gilbert makes his WWC debut and attacks Gonzalez with a guillotine on the ropes. Gonzalez then turns into Pay Dirt and Benjamin wins. Gilbert (apparently his name is owned by IWA) calls for the microphone as Chaparro and Benjamin celebrate and introduced himself as Chaparro’s newest talent, G. Yes, just G. Sounds like Gatorade’s new name to me.
– Carlito defeats Vampiro with the Backstabber in a solid main event. Pretty much a brawl all over the arena, the bout only went briefly into the ring early on, then outside for the majority of it (including brawling among the fans) and ended up back in the ring for the finish.
