Geane Herrera Wants Ian McCall At UFC on FOX 17

In an interview with MMA Junkie, Geane Herrera (8-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) said he wanted a fight with Ian McCall {pictured} (13-5 MMA, 2-3-1 UFC) at UFC on FOX 17. The event happens on December 19 at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. Here are highlights:

On his first loss to Ray Borg at UFC Fight Night 73: “I should have been ready for everything. Most wrestlers, when you hit them hard one time, they immediately want to go to the floor, and I should have known better.”

On wanting another chance: “I just want to go out there and prove to everybody what I’m about, because I don’t think that fight shows what I’m about.”

On who he wants to fight: “I would like to fight Ian McCall. That’d be the guy I want to fight next. That’s the quickest way to the title shot.”
