MMAjunkie Radio recently interviewed UFC middleweight fighter Chris Camozzi, who discussed his upcoming UFC Fight Night 88 bout against Vitor Miranda. The fight card is set for May 29 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Below are some highlights from the interivew.

Camozzi on Miranda not doing anything unique: “I don’t think he does anything unique. I think his striking is effective, but it’s basic. He’s not doing anything crazy. I’ve fought tougher guys in the past, and I don’t think he brings anything I’ve never seen before. I love the fact he’s a huge favorite.”

Camozzi on being civil with his opponents: “I’m usually pretty civil with guys. Every once in a while, I don’t see a guy until weigh-ins. I’ve fought friends before. I don’t have to dislike you to punch you for money.”

Camozzi on being in his prime: “I think (I’m in my prime). We made a lot of changes in my camp – tweaking stuff. A lot of guys don’t like to train where they’re weaker at, but I put more emphasis on that. It’s just made big improvements in my game. I feel stronger than ever and I just feel all around a better fighter.”
