MMAjunkie recently spoke to UFC fighter Andrew Holbrook, who commented on his upcoming fight with Gregor Gillespie at UFC 210 set for later today. Below are some highlights.
Holbrook on being a fighter: “I just follow what they want you to do – you’re there at a certain time, and you just be there. It’s like any job that you have in the world – you get there on time and you do your job. … Now it’s serious business. It was before, but now it’s more serious.”
On beaeting Jake Matthews: “(Beating Matthews) felt good. I was expecting to be an underdog, going into somebody’s home town. It was kind of nice, and everybody enjoyed the fight I think. Either way, I’m just fighting – whoever it is, I just fight. I just go fight the hometown guy again – and that’s fine. No matter where I go, if they want me to fight somebody in their home town, it’s another fight.”
