WWE Smackdown Rating Dives, Viewership Down

– The rating for this week’s episode of Smackdown was down significantly from last week, following last week’s Vince McMahon appearance. Tuesday’s episode brought in a 0.74 rating in the 18 – 49 demographic, off 16% from last week’s 0.88 demo rating. The viewership was also down, with the audience of 2.51 million being down 9% from last week’s 2.754 million.

Both numbers represented the lowest points for the show in some time, with the demo rating the nadir since the June 13th episode had a 0.63 and the viewership a low point since July 11th’s 2.465 million. per Showbuzz Daily, Smackdown was #2 among cable originals for the night behind American Horror Story: Cult (1.15 demo rating, 2.247 million viewers).
